Juggling in Brazil

18th
Jan. × ’11

Here are some clips from my latest trip, sailing up the Amazon. First, I juggled on either side of the equator, near the city of Macapa. The middle part is from a stop at a small village, and I put on an impromptu show for all the kids, which lasted way longer than I show [...]

At the equator.

Macapa, Brazil is almost directly on the Equator. A 5 minute taxi ride from the city center is a monument on the Equator. There is also a football stadium with each half of the field in either hemisphere. I’ve crossed the Equator many times, but only on planes and ships. Stepping across it, or even [...]

Monkey! Monkey! Parrot! More parrots. Feeding parrots. Monkey! What the hell is this animal? Leaves. Branches. Old windows. Playing with my strobe. Me.

Photos with family/New camera stuff

26th
Dec. × ’10

In the past few months I bought myself a new camera (a Canon 60D) and my first external flash unit. I felt as though I had improved enough that I was no longer the weakest link in my equipment collection, and the quality of my previous camera (a 500D) was holding me back. And after [...]
